Scaleo is a free ranking game you can play right in your browser, solo or with friends. The idea is simple: put cards back in the right order, using your knowledge and your sense of estimation.
The concept
Each game gives you a series of cards to rank against a specific criterion. Cards appear one at a time, and it's up to you to decide where each one belongs compared to the cards already placed. The more accurate your ranking, the more points you score, and the further you climb through the game's tiers.
Four ways to play
Scaleo offers four ranking modes, each with its own set of cards:
- History: rank historical events in chronological order, from oldest to most recent.
- Size: compare objects, animals or landmarks from smallest to largest.
- Weight: rank objects from lightest to heaviest.
- Speed: order objects from slowest to fastest.
You pick a mode with a single tap on the home screen, before starting a game.
The rules in short
Every game starts with one card already placed, to give you a reference point. Drag each new card to where you think it belongs. A correctly placed card scores points; a mistake costs a heart. The game ends once every card has been played or all hearts are gone. The number of cards, the number of hearts, and the difficulty in History mode can all be adjusted before playing, to match the game to your level.
Solo or with friends
Scaleo works just as well solo, to beat your best score, as it does with a group. To play multiplayer, just share a link with your friends: everyone joins from their own screen, wherever they are, and you all compete in real time.
Visual themes
Game cards come dressed in different image themes, such as the "Animated Film" theme, making every game livelier and more fun to look at.
